Turn up on time. Seek forgiveness not permission and a smile gets you out of most tricky situations.

Building and exiting two agencies. Also, writing a book. I’ve two daughters, so most recently it’s recognising that puberty is not a war, it’s a development phase.
Who are your heroes, both in and out of business?
My grandfather who died last year. He was an incredible man who at 101 was larger than life itself. He was an engineer, an artist and a craftsman.

In 2013 it’s Twitter. It’ll almost certainly be something different in 2014.
What is the best thing about social media?
It is democratic and has no respect for organisation structures or hierarchy.
What is your favourite aspect of your job?
I work with incredibly smart people, no two days are ever the same, and I’m paid to hang out on the Internet.
What is your favourite quote…
“Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”
