IXUS Energy is a brand new company to the renewable energy market. Born out of The Wood Heating Company – a supplier of biomass boilers for the commercial market for over 30 years – IXUS Energy was set up to provide wood pellet and biomass boilers to the consumer market in anticipation of the ‘biomass boom’, pending the introduction of the government’s household Renewable Heat Incentive in spring 2014.
Admiral’s role predominantly focuses on media relations over two distinct phases. Phase one aims to position IXUS Energy as an exciting new proposition in HVAC and trade media – a once in a lifetime opportunity to get involved with such a forward thinking and innovative organisation. The objective is to attract a network of approved biomass installers so that following the introduction of household RHI, a system of engineers up and down the country is available to install the different types of renewable energy boilers in the homes of consumers.
Post-introduction of household RHI, phase two of media relations aims to communicate the messages about the benefits of biomass boilers and renewable energy to the consumer market, namely rural home / land owners [ABC1] through aspirational lifestyle media. The objective is to encourage consumers to fit a biomass boiler in their own homes – via IXUS Energy’s network of approved installers – and in turn, reap the financial benefits of the RHI scheme.
To support phase one and two of the core media relations, Admiral will also deliver campaigns about the economical and environmental benefits of renewable energy – natural heat that doesn’t cost the earth – through traditional media relations, digital blogger relations and social media.
