Yesterday we helped Onyx Group launch their new workplace recovery centre in Stockton-on-Tees. The Business Continuity centre, which is based at Onyx’s HQ, was officially opened by Alex Cunningham, Local MP for Stockton North, and is the only facility of its kind in Teesside.
The new state-of-the-art continuity centre provides 100 recovery seats, adding to its 260 seat Newcastle facility and is the latest development in the Group’s expansion plans. Onyx also have business continuity sites in London, Edinburgh and Glasgow.
Alex Cunningham MP for Stockton North said: “The success of Onyx to date is testament to the Group’s hard work and determination. It is great to see a local company grow into a national technology provider with a UK wide footprint and expansion plans still underway.
“Our area is renowned for its growing world-class digital and technology expertise and highly skilled workforce. With companies such as Onyx continuing to innovate, providing first class service as well as investing in infrastructure to support the local business community, we are sure to cement our reputation as a knowledge based economy.”
The new workplace recovery facility in an eye-catching building overlooking the A19 in Teesside means Onyx now provides business continuity services to both the north and south of the region, adding to its facilities nationwide.
