Global supplier of indoor and outdoor lighting and integrated controls, Thorn Lighting, has appointed Admiral PR to handle the UK trade launch, in the Autumn, of the successor to one of its most important product ranges.
The new product range will be the 16th generation of the world’s best-selling light fitting, a florescent batten traditionally used in commercial and industrial settings. The latest version has a number of new features which will increase the speed, efficiency and reliability of installation. Its improved aesthetics are also expected to see it being specified front of house, as well as in its more traditional settings.
Admiral’s brief includes a mix of trade media relations, as well as a strong social media element targeting the wholesale and contractor markets.
The appointment of Admiral follows the recruitment of a new marketing team at Thorn led by UK and Ireland marketing director Kelly Herrick. She said, “Thorn Lighting’s operating environment is changing. More products are being sold online within the trade and the market is becoming more sophisticated. We need an agency that understands these changes and can help us to convert them into sales opportunities.”
